(NASDAQ: CTLM), a leading provider of broadband access solutions, today announced that it has extended its technology leadership position in the DSL access infrastructure market with the introduction of the company’s Pharos™ ADSL central office (CO) physical layer (PHY) chipset.
The Pharos chipset is designed to meet the high-performance requirements of quality of service (QoS)-based “triple play” applications, such as broadcast services, video streaming, video on-demand and next-generation gaming services. Centillium’s newest-generation DSL solution provides the industry’s highest performance and longest reach, with speeds of up to 50 Mbps and reach up to 8 kilometers.
