The AMIS-52100 is a single chip wireless transceiver targeted specifically for medical implantable devices and associated external equipment. An ultra-low power transceiver is designed to significantly reduce power consumption and extend battery opearating life.

The AMIS-52100 functionins in the 401- to 406MHz frequency band, the system complies with the recently expanded MICS (Medical Implant Communication Service) standard defined by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).

Applications include: Hearing aids; Remote patient monitoring; Cardiac rhythm management (CRM); Pain management; Blood glucose monitoring; and Neurological stimulus management.
