Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. has announced the integration of the newest version of Kofax® VirtualReScan® (VRS) technology into the Fujitsu fi -5650C and fi -5750C color, low-volume production scanners. Kofax VRS 4.0 makes scanning more efficient and enhances the quality of scanned images by offering the ability to add color processing and features that further automate document preparation.

VRS technology, the de facto industry standard for image processing, improves both image clarity and optical character recognition (OCR) accuracy, delivering unmatched quality and eliminating the need to rescan document images because of its automatic check for and adjustment of alignment (skew), brightness, contrast and image clarity.
VRS 4.0 greatly accelerates the processing of documents, cuts the amount of time that knowledge workers spend on rescanning and improves their productivity by offering color processing and other capabilities that significantly reduce document preparation time by automatically handling blank or rotated pages, as well as white-or black-background scanners.
