Bosch E-Ray successfully conformance tested!!
Bosch has shipped the first successfully conformance tested FlexRay Communication Controller IP-module “E-Ray” to its numerous licensees. The E-Ray IP-module can be integrated as stand-alone device or as part of an ASIC. It is described in VHDL on RTL level, prepared for synthesis.
The E-Ray IP-Module performs communication according to the FlexRay protocol specification v2.1.The bit rate can be programmed to values up to 10 MBit/s.
For communication on a FlexRay network, individual message buffers with up to 254 data bytes are configured. The message storage consists of a single-ported Message RAM that holds up to 128 Message Buffers. All functions concerning the handling of messages are implemented in the Message Handler,
