Renesas Technology Releases SH-MobileR Application Processor for One-Seg Capable Car Navigation Systems and Portable Media Players

Renesas has announced release of the SH-MobileR (SH7722), suitable for use in car navigation systems and portable media players.

Initial-phase product in expansion to applications other than mobile phones

The main features of the SH-MobileR are:

1. High-performance moving-image processing IP core supporting terrestrial digital broadcasting
2. Comprehensive multimedia-compatible on-chip peripheral functions
3. 266 MHz operation enabling implementation of high-performance multimedia systems
