fan control
Targeting PCs and server, the aSC7621/11 thermal management system controllers with integrated fan control are compliant with SMBus 2.0 and include support for three fans, four fan tachometer inputs, voltage monitoring, high and low PWM, and assignment of temperature zones. Features include shutdown mode, the ability to lock critical controls after initialization, and 3.3-V operation with 5- or 12-V fans.
The parts also support Intel's automatic fan speed control algorithm. Housed in 24-pin QSOP packages, the thermal ICs offer 0.25°C digital temperature sensor resolution. (From $1.25 ea/1,000�available now.)
