MOBILE, Ala., Feb. 23, 2005 -Accelerated Technology®, a Mentor Graphics division (Nasdaq: MENT), today announced a new version of the Nucleus® POSIX kernel that is compliant with the Software Communication Architecture (SCA) version 3.0, a set of standards for deploying and interconnecting the signal processing objects of a software defined radio (SDR) system.
SCA is a key technology for developing versatile, interoperable SDR systems. The U.S. Department of Defense provides a family of software programmable radios such as handheld, vehicular, base station, airborne and dismounted radios-all designed around the SCA for different military domains.
