124-lm warm-white LED advances solid-state lighting

3,000K-temperature devices can handle a drive current of up to 700 mA

Addressing the marketplace’s demand for a solid-state lighting (SSL) replacement for warm-white incandescent lighting applications such as indoor residential illumination, XLamp LEDs are available in versions able to deliver light with a correlated color temperature of 3,000K at up to 124 lumens with a drive current of 700 mA. Available in versions from 2,500K to 7,000K, the 7 x 9-mm devices come in binning lots with specifications in compliance with the proposed ANSI standard for SSL products.

Features of the warm-white LEDs include an isolated thermal path, a max juncture temperature of 145°C, a lumen maintenance of 70% at 50,000 hours, and a luminous efficacy as high as 56 lm/W. The devices are available in versions accepting a drive current from 125 to 500 mA (XR-C), 350 to 700 mA (XR), and 350 to 1,000 mA (XR-E). (Contact company for pricing—available now.)
