Power IC supports peak loads up to 127 W

Addressing a wide range of applications that exhibit very high peak-to-rms power requirements, such as printers, audio amplifiers, and home entertainment systems, the PeakSwitch PKS607 power conversion IC handles peak demand of up to 127 W. The device incorporates a 700-V MOSFET and low-voltage control circuitry.

Other key features include integrated auto-restart, hysteretic thermal shutdown, and integrated frequency jittering to minimize EMI. The part is housed in DIP-8 and TO-220 packages. ($1.50 ea/1,000—prod qty, six weeks ARO.)
