Bus converters tout high efficiency

Aimed at telecommunications, networking, computing, and industrial electronics, the 300-W IBC32 eighth-brick and the 642-W IBC60 quarter-brick dc/dc converters boast a conversion efficiency as high as 97%. Accepting an input from 38 to 55 Vdc, the 5:1 isolated devices power multiple downstream nonisolated POL converters in a distributed-power architecture.

Features include a load regulation of 2.5% for the IBC60 and 2.3% for the IBC32 with overtemperature and overcurrent protection with undervoltage lockout, nonlatching overvoltage protection, and remote on/off control. Suitable for both convection-cooled and forced-air environments, the converters can operate over an ambient temperature range from 40 to 85C without a heat sink.
