When existing sensing systems or PLCs cannot respond fast enough, the In-Process Force Measurement system retrofits them to speed them up. It consists of a Series M240 ICP strain sensor and Model 410A01 ICP signal conditioner with Peak Hold.
To ensure highly reliable force measurement for fast machine cycles, the conditioner holds the peak reading until a PLC can scan for the value, after which a solid-state relay resets the value. The system’s 0 to 5-Vdc output can be directly correlated to units of force, and its bolt-on sensor and DIN-rail-mounted signal-conditioning module can be installed in minutes.
