SMT socket suits low-profile I/O apps

Suiting low-profile I/O applications, the surface-mount Z-Bend socket is assembled parallel to the board surface. The SIP socket can be placed near the board edge for test connections as well as creating pluggable adapter modules that can sit perpendicular to the motherboard.

Offered in sizes from 2 to 10 positions, the RoHS-compliant socket features a precision-machined brass alloy receptacle press-fit with a Mill-Max #47 contact clip accepts mated pin diameters between 0.025 to 0.037-in. and 0.025-in. square posts. The socket is rated at 4.5 A per pin. ($2.205 ea/1,000—4 weeks ARO.)
