Provided in a 0.87 x 0.47 x 0.37-in. encapsulated 8-Pin SIP package, the VWRAS and VWRBS series of 1- and 2-W dc/dc converters have a 2:1 input range and come in models accepting from 4.5 to 9 V, 9 to 18 V, 18 to 36 V, or 36 to 72 V. The single-output VWRBS family delivers a regulated output of 5, 9, 12, or 15 V while the dual-output VWRAS line provides a regulated ±5, ±9, ±12, or ±15 V.
Features of the RoHS-compliant devices include an I/O isolation of 1,500 Vdc and short-circuit protection. Operating at an efficiency as high as 82%, the SIP converters can operate at full load from -40 to 71C and at up to 85C at 60%. (From $6.40 ea/large qty—3 to 4 weeks ARO.)
