The ATI Radeon HDTM 2000 series of 10 graphics cards targets both desktop and mobile platforms. The boards feature many firsts, including a next-generation unified shader architecture, a 512-bit memory bus designed for high-dynamic-range rendering, and new unified video decoder technology for high-fidelity HD multimedia.
There will be three basic versions available, the highest-performance Radeon HD 2900 XT with 512 Mbytes of GDDR3 memory, and the HD 2600 and HD 2400 boards, which require less power. Also available will be the Mobility Radeon HD 2600, 2400, and 2300 series for notebooks. (Radeon HD 2900 XT, $399available now, other models available 3rd qtr.)
