20-mA LDO squeezes in DFN, SC-70 packages

Housed in 6-pin DFN and SC-70 packages, the LT3009 micropower LDO features a quiescent current of 3 µA, a dropout voltage of 280 mV, an output current up to 20 mA, with wide VIN capability of 1.6 to 20 V and an adjustable output from 0.6 to 19.5 V. Output tolerance is tightly regulated to within ±2% over line, load, and temperature.

Internal protection circuitry includes reverse-battery protection, reverse output and reverse output-to-input protection, current limiting, and thermal limiting. In addition, the device offers a shutdown current of less than 1 µA. (From $0.95 ea/1,000—available now.)
