The MAX4923/24/25/26 family of overvoltage-protection (OVP) controllers drive an external pFET to provide protection to low-voltage systems against high-voltage faults up to 28 V, while drawing 13-µA typ supply current. The parts provide an overvoltage/undervoltage trip accuracy of ±2.5% and feature a variety of overvoltage trip levels: 7.18 V (MAX4923), 6.16 V (MAX4924), 5.64 V (MAX4925), and 4.46 V (MAX4926).
The undervoltage trip level is set to 2.44 V typ for all of the devices. Housed in 6-pin microDFN packages, these controllers incorporate a fault flag signal that alerts the microcontroller of an overvoltage or undervoltage event. (From at $0.67—available now.)
