The ISO7220 and ISO7221 dual-channel digital isolators use capacitive technology that provides galvanic isolation of up to 4,000 V peak and a life expectancy of greater than 25 years. The ICs have high magnetic immunity and come in three speed grades— 1, 25, and 150 Mbits/s.
The ISO7220 has two channels in the same direction, the ISO7221 two channels in opposite directions. The devices come in SOIC8 packages, operate over –40° to 125°C, and have 50-kV/μs typ transient immunity. (From $0.95 ea/1,000—8-weeks ARO.)
