Providing the advantages of open-architecture digital power management to high-current data server, data storage, and communications applications, the 60-A maXyz ZY8160 is presented as the highest-current digital point-of-load (POL) module available. Operating at over 92% efficiency, the 2.4 x 0.55 x 1.1-in. device accepts from 8 to 14 Vdc and delivers from 0.5 to 2.75 Vdc with active current sharing and real-time monitoring of voltage, current, temperature, and protection status.
All parameters of the RoHS-compliant device are programmable on the fly via the I2 C communication bus with an optional GUI and include output voltages, sequencing, tracking, and protection limits.
