0402-sized fuse is smallest for overcurrent protection
SMT circuit-protection device supports dense secondary circuits in consumer devices
Performing with a super-quick-acting (FF) characteristic at rated currents ranging from 0.375 to 4 A at 32 Vdc and 5 A at 24 Vdc, the USF 0402 SMT fuse is presented as the industry’s smallest such device for overcurrent protection. The fuse provides optimal overcurrent protection in dense secondary circuits—such as those found in consumer electronics—and offers increased reliability compared to similar products because of its ability to dissipate less heat.
Typical applications are battery-operated handheld and portable electronic devices, such as laptops, cell phones, GPS systems, PDAs, and many other devices that have demand for increasingly smaller components.
The 1.05 x 0.55 x 0.475-mm fuse features a letter marking to indicate current rating. The fuse is UL 248-14 approved and carries cURus approval. It also holds a Free of CCC certificate from China. Terminals are gold-plated copper alloy. (From $0.18 ea/1,000—stock to 12 weeks ARO.)
