The 24-bit CS43L22 stereo D/A converter integrates Class D speaker amplifiers and stereo headphone drivers. Providing up to 1 W/channel of highly efficient Class D amplification to external speakers and enough power to drive 44 mW/channel into stereo headphones, the device offers the flexibility to run its core from a single power supply and directly connect the Class D amplifier to the battery supply for more efficient operation.
In addition, the CS43L22’s ground-centered outputs help it reduce clicks and pops during startup and eliminate costly, space-consuming dc-blocking capacitors. Housed in a 40-pin QFN package, the part offers a dynamic range of 98 dB and consumes 13 mW at 1.8 V in playback mode while driving stereo headphones. ($1.76 ea/10,000 — available now.)
