Portable recorders lose weight, add channels

Weighing 10% less than earlier models, the MV1000 and MV2000 paperless portable recorders have 24 and 48 channels, respectively, and each unit has a 200-Mbyte memory, enough to store about 35 days worth of 24-channel 1-s-interval data.

The recorders integrate a TFT-LCD display (5.5-in for the MV1000, 10.4-in. for the MV2000), recording, and communications functions. Setup is display-guided, data can be stored on removable media, and the number of channels can be extended to 348 with additional hardware. (Contact company for pricing and availability.)
