The AS1130 30-W powered-device PWM controller meets the emerging 802.3at (PoE+) standards requirements that define power delivery of up to 30 W on an Ethernet unshielded twisted-pair cable and supports high-end security cameras and wireless LAN access points. It integrates a hot-swap switch with a programmable maximum current limit of 800 mA and can be configured with external component changes for either flyback, forward, or buck topologies to support nonisolated or isolated switching topologies.
The new powered device provides 87% efficiency and supports multiband wireless access points and RFID reader applications. The ICs can be synchronized for load sharing, enabling power levels to 60 W. ($1.66 ea/1,000—available now.)
