Reflective-object sensor sees diffuse surfaces

Developed specifically for the detection of diffuse materials, OPB609 series reflective-object sensors are unfocused, suiting them for detection of paper, labels, or any material with a matte finish.

Available with either full-wing, axial, or right-angle leads, each sensor consists of a 940-nm LED and high speed NPN silicon phototransistor, with minimum response times in the 20 to 30-µs range, mounted side-by-side on parallel axes. The package is spectrally matched to the IR emitter to cut wavelengths under 840 nm. (From $0.28 to $0.42 ea/1,000stock to 10 weeks ARO.)
