Housed in a 16-lead TQFN package, the LDS8866, LDS8865, and LDS8864 LED drivers deliver up to 95% power efficiency. Targeted at mobile backlighting applications, the family supports up to six LEDs with a maximum current of 32 mA per channel.
The on-chip nonvolatile memory allows users to preset the maximum current of each of three LED banks, eliminating the need for external resistors. On-chip dimming of LED currents is controlled through a designer-friendly PWM interface. The maximum LED current is factory preset and can be programmed in the range from 0.5 to 32 mA in 0.5-mA steps. (Call company for pricing and availability.)
