The Ambric Am2045 GT video reference platform is based on the Am2045 massively parallel processor array (MPPA) device with 336 RISC processors, featuring up to 1.2 trillion operations per second. The platform supports MPEG-2 and H.264 high profile and can be used for DVD, Blu-ray Disc, and HD DVD authoring, as well as for streaming media.
The reference design is totally programmable and scalable for a wide range of video-processing functions and needs only one processor on a small PCI Express card. The processor uses only 15 W. ($3,495available February.)
