The V78XX-500 series of dc switching regulators provide efficiencies up to 96% and are pin-and function-compatible with 78xx linear regulators. The regulators do not require heatsinks making them suitable for applications with board space restrictions.
The 11.5 x 7.65 x 10.2-mm V78XX-500 regulators are housed in plastic SIP3 cases. The input range is 4.75 to 32 Vdc with regulated output voltages of 3.3, 5, 6.5, 9, 12, and 15 Vdc.
