The V850ES/Fx3-L MCUs are aimed at low-cost automotive body and safety applications and feature from 64 to 256 kbytes of flash ROM with 6 to 12 Kbytes of RAM. The 0.15-µm process chips are capable of 29 Dhrystone MIPS at a clock speed of 20 MHz.
Thirteen versions of the devices come in 64-, 80- or 100-pin packages that are pin-compatible with the previous-generation. All versions support the CAN and LIN protocols. (From $6 ea/sample qty, V850ES/FG3-L with 256 Kbytes of flashavailable spring 2008.)
