NEC Electronics to develop PMIC with Intel

In what can only be considered a coup for NEC Electronics America; the company teamed with Intel to develop a PMIC solution optimized for mobile Internet devices. The designs will integrate power management, logic, audio, and communications functions. Samples are expected to be available in Q3 of 2008. Emerson Network Power launched a new Web site dedicated to embedded power conversion products. Known as www.powerconversion.com, the Web site brings the company’s Astec and Artesyn product brands together, making it home to ac/dc power supplies and dc/dc converters.
