Direct-ac-driven LEDs achieves 80 lm/W

The Acriche LEDs produce 80 lm/W when directly connected to 110- or 220-Vac outlets. The LEDs do not employ ac/dc converters, which typically have a 60% to 80% shorter life then LEDs and add cost and size to the light source.
