Pocket-sized detector displays multiple ESDs

Able to distinguish various levels of multiple electrostatic discharges, the shirt-pocket-sized portable ESD Pro Event Detector senses and counts discharges, displaying the relative electrical strength of each ESD event on a 10-LED bargraph. The meter has a built-in antenna and user-variable alarm thresholds.

The detector can measure multiple consecutive discharges in an ESD event. On each discharge, the unit gives an audio alarm and, if the discharge exceeds the user-set alarm level, the bargraph’s LEDs turn red. The unit’s four-digit counter records only discharges above the user-set threshold. ($995 — stock to 4 weeks ARO.)
