Intended for use in printers, plotters, positioning tables, handlers, and other industrial automation machines, HEDM-5540 series three-channel optical incremental encoders maintain the form, fit, and function of HEDx-5xxx series devices, thus permitting easy conversion to increase resolution up to 1,000 counts / revolution.

Also offering third-channel index output used as a reference point for more accurate position control, the 30 x 41.1-mm encoders provide up to 100-kHz response over a –40º to 100ºC range.
