Chip-scale cameras capture 2, 3 Mpixels

Using through-chip-via technology for improved dimensions, integration, and manufacturability, a pair of chip-scale camera modules consists of a 2-Mpixel SoC device with a 1/5-in. optical format and a 3-Mpixel SoC module with 1/4-in. optical format.

Both CSCMs feature integrated image signal processing for digital still-capture type functionality. The units can capture 15 fps, provide Bayer filtering, and are said to be easily configurable using the company’s image and color calibration tools.
