Rugged MEMS IMU offers high accuracy

Suited for stabilization applications in farm, construction, and material-handling vehicles, the HG1171 Series six-degrees-of-freedom inertial measurement unit (IMU) tracks X, Y, and Z-axis motion with high accuracy. Designed for hard mounting, the CAN-bus-combatible module integrates three independent MEMS gyros and MEMS accelerometers.

The gyros’ measurement range is ±75°/s with max noise of only 0.2°/s, while the accelerometers’ is ±17 m/s2 with max noise of 0.1 m/s2 rms. Max offset drift over the unit’s –40° to 85°C operating temperature range is just ±1°/s for gyros and ±0.35 m/s2 for accelerometers. (Contact Sales for pricing and availability.)
