The ISD15000 single-chip digital audio recorder IC is targeted at automotive, industrial and telecommunications applications. The device provides audio record/playback, digital compression, A/D conversion, and memory management. It has macro scripts, an I2C interface, fast digital recording, and high sampling frequency. These features are especially useful for multiple-language applications.
The IC provides selectable durations from 2 to 32 min based on 8-kHz 4-bit ADPCM digital audio data with sample rate up to 48 kHz, fast digital recording with data rate up to 1 Mbits/s, message management, address-free recording, and simple index based commands for playback.
