The MAX13041 CAN transceiver is ±80-V fault-protected, high speed, and conformant to ISO 11898-2. The device reduces the current consumption of an entire node to 18 µA typ. in sleep mode and has wake-on-CAN functionality to restore power upon detection of bus activity.
The device features enhanced diagnostics and over temperature protection, is able to detect local and remote bus failures, and has ±12 kv ESD protection. It comes in a 14-pin SO package and is fully specified over the –40° to 125°C. (From $0.89 ea/1,000 — samples available now.)
