The SMC series 1.27-mm board-on-IDC connector offers a height reduction from 7.3 to 5.0 mm. The cable is permanently attached to the connector—already soldered to the PCB—via the cable duct, and forms a gas-tight connection with the IDC contacts.
The connector features a black insulating body, high-temperature-resistant thermoplastic housing (LCP) for SMT reflow soldering, and a preassembled mounting hood. The cable connector is available with 12, 26, or 50 pins. (Contact the company for price and availability.)
