TCP/IP stack targets ARM/ColdFire CPUs

Suited to small-footprint 32-bit systems, RTXC Quark TCP/IP software promises fast lower-power operation and reduced memory requirements. The TCP/IP stack achieves this via a combination of a architecture and a tight integration with the companies RTXC Quadros single-stack RTOS (RTXC/ss).

The software uses a fast dataplane architecture to rapidly process TCP, IP, and UDP packets with minimal “touching” and takes advantage of the datacentric design of the RTXC/ss kernel. Together, they operate in less than 30 Kbytes of ROM and require minimal RAM per socket. They are initially available for selected ARM and ColdFire processors. (Royalty-free source licenses, stack/RTOS combination, from $9,900—available now.)
