Yellow, red HBLEDs need little power

Made using AlInGaP technology, yellow VLRE31xx and red VLRK31xx Series SMT high-brightness LEDs operate at 30-mA forward current with a 2.3-V forward voltage, dissipating 75 mW. The low-power devices have luminous intensities to 285 mcd.

The SMD LEDs come in a 1.9-mm-profile reverse gullwing package designed for top-down mounting on, and light emission through, a PCB. Optimized for backlighting and illumination in automotive, consumer, and general applications, the RoHS-compliant devices have a nondiffused lens that is highly effective in coupling to lightpipes and backlighting.
