Handheld shaker verifies vibration, acceleration performance
Suited for use in the field or lab, unique unit delivers a precision 1-G force for calibration and test
Designed for handy verification of accelerometer and vibration system performance, as well as operation of interconnecting cables, switching devices, and monitoring systems, the unique Model 699A02 handheld industrial shaker is a battery-powered lightweight unit. It can be used to test sensors weighing up to 250 g as well as permanently mounted devices, and suits predictive maintenance and condition-based monitoring systems.

The device operates at 159.2 Hz and delivers a controlled, 1 G rms or 1 G peak acceleration. Weighing just 900 g (≈ 2 lbs) with four AA alkaline batteries, it can perform up to 1,600 operating cycles in the field.
The shaker has mechanical stops to provide overload protection and an automatic shut-off to preserve battery life, as well as an external power jack for ac compatibility / extended operation. It meets NIST traceability requirements and comes with a durable carrying pouch with belt loop. (Less than $2,500 — available now.)
