Featuring a programmable and changeable 64 x 32-pixel LCD module with 64 LED-backlit colors, the high-resolution SmartSwitch and SmartDisplay pushbutton switches offer designers a unique human-machine interface solution. The switches operate commands supplied via SPI and can display graphics, alphanumeric characters, or animated sequences, including four lines of text with as many as 10 characters per line for a variety of applications including A/V broadcast workstations, industrial control panels, medical equipment, and communications systems.

The switches integrate bitmap display functions with a backlight that is variable in eight steps from dark to bright. The pushbutton switches also feature a FSTN positive black and white LCD mode.

Epoxy-sealed straight PC terminals prevent entry of solder flux and other contaminants. The SmartSwitch provides one million actuations minimum and features a 15 x 10.8-mm viewing area. (Contact Debra Martin for pricing and availability.)
