Scope redefines design, debug, and validation process
Provides up to 20X throughput boost, unique feature finder, and extensive tool set
WavePro 700Zi series digital scopes combine an array of performance improvements, including an outstanding waveform feature finder, rare-event capture technologies, a deep toolbox, exceptional responsiveness, and 10 to 20 times faster processing throughput. This synergistic combination changes the speed of capture, the nature of the information captured, and the way data is displayed, thereby changing the way engineers gather insight using scopes. (See http://www2.electronicproducts.com/Choosing_an_oscilloscope_for_debugging-article-farclecroy_jul2008-html.aspx.)
The series, which includes special serial-data and disk-drive analyzer versions, has a unique form-factor and the largest display available on any oscilloscope. Key to the scopes performance is the X-Stream II fast throughput streaming architecture — which uses variable waveform segment lengths to improve CPU cache efficiency — augmented with an Intel Core 2 Quad processor, a 64-bit OS, fast data buses, and up to 8 Gbytes RAM.
Critical performances specs include a 20 Gsamples/s rate on all the scope’s four channels (40 Gsample/s interleaved), standard record lengths of 10 Mpoints/channel (up to 128 Mpts/ch optional), and both 1 MΩ and 50 Ω inputs from 1.5 to 6 GHz. Scopes are available in bandwidths of 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4, and 6 GHz; serial data analyzers in 2.5, 3.5, 4, and 6 GHz; and disk drive analyzers in 3.5 and 6 GHz. (From $23,500 available now.)
