Serializer takes 8 level inputs to an SPI stream

The SN65HVS882 serializer converts eight digital 0 to 34-V inputs into a single SPI interface data stream, simplifying designs for industrial automation and test and measurement equipment. The chip’s programmable debounce feature takes care of spurious pulses up to 3 ms on noisy switch inputs.

The IC includes a voltage regulator, operates at –40° to 125°C, and has a 200-µA to 5-mA input current limit set with a single resistor. It come in a 28-pin HTSSOP package. ($3 ea/1,000 — available now.)
