LDD features APC and power monitoring

Designed with high compliance voltage, the SY88212L is a stand-alone 2.5-Gbit/s 3.3-V LDD with integrated APC and power monitoring to regulate optical power during temperature changes and over the lifetime of the laser. The driver is designed for datacom and telecom applications, and is well suited for SFF and SFP modules.

The SY88212L delivers modulation current up to 85 mA and bias current up to 70 mA, suitable for both ac- and dc-coupled laser interfaces. It also features an APC fault indicator, TXenable/TXdisable, and a power-monitoring pin. Available in a 24-pin 4 x 4-mm MLF package. ($3.00 ea/1,000 — samples available now.)
