AMC card handles dual 10GbE processing

The AMC220 dual-port 10-Gbit Ethernet packet processor AMC module is pre-configured as a TCP offload engine and provides socket layer services to a Cavium OCTEON CN56xx/CN57xx multi-core processor. The module can be loaded either by a four-lane PCIe interface or optional flash memory.

The mid-height form-factor, hot-swappable card has two RJ45 micro USB connectors for USB and RS-232 on its front panel, alongside two SFP+ connectors. It has options for six to twelve processor cores and is available in 600-MHz to 1-GHz speed grades. (From $2,000 — available now.)
