Compact 150-W supply targets medical use

The LPS103-M 100 to 150-W ac/dc power supply features ITE, and nonpatient contact and nonpatient critical medical safety approvals. The open-frame design measures 2 x 4 in. with a height of 1.29 in. It has a typical full-load efficiency of 88% and a power density of 14 W/in.3

The supply has a universal 85 to 264-Vac input and can operate from a 120 to 300-Vdc input. It produces a 12-Vdc regulated main output and an isolated 12-Vdc fan output. The main output delivers up to 8.3 A continuously with convection cooling, or up to 12.5 A continuously with 30-cfm forced-air cooling. The main output can be adjusted from 10.8 to 13.2 Vdc.
