IQ modulator supports multiple standards

The TRF370317 IQ modulator enables conversion from baseband or intermediate frequency directly to RF frequencies. The part meets the stringent requirements of GSM, CDMA2000, TD-SCDMA, W-CDMA, and WiMAX, as well as emerging next-generation wireless standards such as LTE and multicarrier GSM. It accepts input signals that range from dc to 350 MHz and generates a modulated RF output from 400 MHz up to 4 GHz.

Features include a noise floor of −163 dBm/Hz, an output third-order intercept point (OIP3) of 26.5 dBm, output compression of 12 dBm, unadjusted carrier leakage of −40 dBm (at 2 GHz), and unadjusted sideband suppression of 50 dBc (at 2 GHz). Operating from a single 5-V supply, the modulator can drive a single-ended 50-Ω load without any external matching components. ($5.35 ea/1,000 — available now.)
