Ref design captures, stores video, audio

Based on the OmniVision OV7725 CameraChip sensor and the eASIC eDV9100 MPEG-4 codec, the eDVR91 MPEG-4 camera reference design demonstrates how engineers can use the components to capture, compress, and store digital video and audio on an SD storage card. The the system is capable of storing 8 hr of compressed video and audio on a 2-Gbyte SD memory card.

The kit comes with schematics, bill of materials, Gerber files, drivers, firmware, and software. ($299 available now.)
