A series of USB digital-pattern capture/generator modules consists of four models, the least expensive of which is priced at $329. The high-end version, the model USB-DIO-16H with 64-kword FIFO buffer, features 16 I/O channels that can provide 16-Mbyte/s continuous outputs or 80-Mbyte/s bursts with handshaking signals, plus an additional 18 bits of general-purpose digital I/O.
In addition to the 16H model, the series includes three 4-kword FIFO models: the USB-DIO-16A, the capture-only USB-DI16A, and the generate-only USB-DO16A. Housed in 4 x 4 x 1.25-in. steel enclosures, the rugged USB 2.0-powered devices are hot swappable. (DI16A and DO16A, $329, DIO-16A, $399; DIO-16H, $699 — available stock to 2 weeks ARO.)
