Designed for VoIP phones, hands-free kits, and general-purpose speakerphones, the WAU8812 mono audio codec features a 24-bit signal architecture that offers a 93-dB D/A converter SNR and 91-dB A/D converter SNR at audio sampling rates from 8 to 48 kHz. The part reduces external component requirements by integrating a speaker driver, headset driver, and a configurable low-noise microphone-biasing circuit.
It also includes two microphone inputs, a single auxiliary input, and two dedicated analog outputs. The WAU8812’s speaker and mono outputs have a dedicated supply of 2.5 to 5.5 V. Available in a 28-SSOP and a 32-QFN package, the part features a 6-μA standby current. ($1 ea/25,000 — available now.)
