Chip ferrite beads are industry’s smallest
Presented in 01005 case size to offer noise suppression to miniature devices
Part of the company’s EMIFIL line, the BLM02 chip ferrite beads come in a standard 01005 case size (0.4 x 0.2 x 0.2 mm) — said to be the industry’s smallest. The ferrite beads provide noise-suppression capabilities in EMI filter applications and dc power lines in a variety of electronics devices including RF modules, laptops, portable music devices, and car navigation systems.
The chip ferrite beads, provides an attenuation frequency range from around 30 MHz to several hundred megahertz, with impedances from 10 to 120 Ω and current ratings from 200 to 500 mA. Dc resistance is below 0.8 Ω, and operating temperature range is from 55° to 125°C.
To develop the chip beads at these sizes, the company attributes its expertise in advanced materials to enable smaller devices that do not sacrifice functionality or performance. (Samples, $0.06 — 6 to 8 weeks ARO.)
